No Sew Quilted Ornament

This was a fun, quick ornament I made for an ornament swap. The red and gold fabric was gathered from odds and ends I had around the house. The green fabric and ribbon I bought from Joann's. The whole project took less than an hour and was very relaxing. I did it while watching the evening sitcoms.

I wish I could figure out how to slowdown the time lapse on this video. So if you know how please let me know in the comments.

The video is at super fast speed, but it's pretty cool to watch the ornament come together.

Disney Princess Scrapbook Pages

I got to participate in a page swap that was Disney theme based. Playing with this paper from EK Success was a lot of fun. I wasn't as familiar with the princesses as I thought I was so I watched most of the Disney movies while creating these pages.

Thanks Paula for organizing this swap. It was a blast! Check out more of the pages created by other participants on Facebook at Kathy Orta Files.

Love's Bloosom Mini Albumn

This is a mini album I made for my Nephew and his lovely girlfriend.  They are just so stinking cute together.

I used  Authentique Designer Paper: Renew

There are also some Prima flowers as well as Tim Holtz flowers and gears scattered about.  I used a mix of gears and flowers to make the book inclusive of both genders.

I used standard #10 envelopes and created pull-out flaps to hold more photos and journaling spots
There's a 1/4 inch gusset between pages so they can add more embellishments or mementos as time goes on.

I used Vintage Trinkets metal rose which is the perfect handle for the magnetic closure.  The wrap around card-stock band holds the mini closed and gives the book a finished look.

I hope you like it!

I've Been Bit!

I've been bitten by the scrapping bug! And girl my addiction is fierce.  I can't stop buying supplies for my stash, creating mini-albums and layouts, aranging and rearanging my craft space, attending every local crop I can get to and flying state to state for conventions and shows.

I Love To Scrap My Arss Off!!!!

The bite started when my mother had me bring (and I went kicking and screaming) to the GASC, Great American Scrapbook Convention; in Arlington Texas in the year 2006.  I bought some stamps because they were oh so cute, but I had no idea what to do with them, so in the desk drawer they sat.

Fast forward six years later in 2012 she and my sister invited me to a New England Scrapbooking Summit. It was a long weekend at a quaint New England Inn.  All the ladies had supplies out the whazoo! The organizers conveniently had a store on premises so I quickly stocked up, jumped on YouTube and learned how to make my very first mini-album.

Now, I've decided to create a blog to display and share my scrapbooking adventures.  At some point I'll get more comfortable and start filming some tutorials on how I made my projects.

Thanks for joining me on this journey and I hope we can share great ideas and conversations!
