Unboxing of Erin Condren Planner 2015

She's Here!!!  This is my very first Erin Condren planner I've ever owned.

Thanks to Jennifer McGuire Ink I got to order this new Rose Gold 18 Month Erin Condren Planner for Free!  I ordered some add-ons which put me one dollar over the $100 Gift Certificate amount that I won. Woot!!!

I ordered my planner on the launch day June 9th, at the end of the ordering process I was advised that it would ship on June 16th.  Sure enough it shipped on the 16th and arrived on the 20th as according to the tracking.  It was such a painless process.

The only stressful moment in the process was when the FedEX guy arrived and was parked in my driveway and he spent 10 minutes trying to locate the box in his truck.  I swear this guy opened every door on his truck.  I was like he better not have mis-delivered my package to someone else on his route.  But alas he emerged triumphantly and very proud of himself, with my precious package in hand! Phew!!!

I think I'm going to do some of the ever popular weekly planner sessions that everyone posts on YouTube. Maybe? Let me know what you think.

This is one of those hobbies that is very fascinating and a fun way to get the most out of my time. If you think you may be interested in buying your own Erin Condren Lifestyle Planner, then please use my Erin Condren Referral Code! I'm loving all the personalized products and organizational accessories. Alzheimer's Awareness Card

This card was inspired by a spool of ribbon I have in my stash.  There's a small swatch of it in the upper right-hand corner of the card.  I was tickled by the fact that I have stamps that perfectly matched this ribbon.  Amazed actually! :D

I was at a festival over the weekend and there was a booth there to remind us that Alzheimer's is robbing many of their ability to remember those they love and that love them.  June is Go Purple for Alsheimer's Month, read more about that here.  So in honor of Go Purple for Alzheimer's I made this card.

The stamps I used are from:
Martha Stewart Crafts Clear Stamps - Flowers, Butterflies, "Thank You" and "Happy Birthday"
Stampendous Mounted Rubber Stamp, 3 by 3-Inch, Fresh Bloom
Impresion Obsession Anytime Sentiments

The Inks are from:
Ranger - Dye Ink Pad - Black Tie
Ranger - Dye Ink Pad - Grape Soda
Ranger - Dye Ink Pad - Electric Lime

The Mighty Eagle

Memorial Day 2015. This paper art was made by placing strips of paper on double sides tape for the background. I then cut the eagle and sentiment out using my Cricut Explore. The poppy was made from cutting petals by hand.

Memorial Day Shaker Card

This weekend is the unofficial start of the summer season. But, more importantly it is a weekend that we as Americans take time to honors and remember those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our liberty and freedom.
So, before we mix up the tater salad and throw the burgers on the grill, let's be sure to say a prayer for and thank the veterans we come in contact with.

I made this shaker card using my Cricut Explore. I did a design search for 'star cards' and selected this one. I then turned the stars into shakers by filling them with glitter and beads. The red and blue background was made by dragging my ink pad across the card. Another super simple card!

Enjoy your weekend and I'll be back with another video after the holiday weekend. :)

THANK YOU TO OUR VETERANS!!!!! <3

Friendship! Embossed Shaker Card

I made this card as part of the MFT Color Challenge 21. It's my first time participating in one of their challenges, so I hope they like it

Here's what I did to make this shaker card: Stamp and emboss the card base using clear Embossing ink and powder. I then applied distress inks, after which I cut out a flower using a metal die and filled the space with glitter! Super easy.

The sentiment is stamped using white embossing powder.

This was a very quick and easy card to put together. Shaker cards are all the rage right now so I hope you give one a try.

The Video! [ I decided not to voice over this video.  Please let me know what you think? Also, I attempted a new camera angle so the project is out of screen quite a bit.  Not one of my best videos, but it does show how to create this card. ]

How to Make Mother's Day Cards! 2015

Happy Mother's Day! (After), I couldn't post theses card images until after mother's day because my mother visits my blog regularly, Thanks Mom!

This card is made using heavy cardstock from Michael's and a stamp from Joann's (Stampendous Q123 Fresh Bloom).  I then colored a couple of random flowers and colored the background using Copic marker Copic Markers (v22, y21, y17)

This shaker card was made using heavy cardstock, a Prima Marketing Mixed Media Doll Cling Rubber Stamp, my girl's name is Keira. The sentiment was cut out using my Cricut Explore Cutting Machine, the heart bush was made using Stamps by Judith and the background was colored using Tim Holtz distress inks by Ranger.  I simply cut out the window with a ruler and craft knife backed it with acetate and filled it with Martha Stewart Crafts Iridescent Hearts & Stars Glitter .

I'll do a video making more cards that are spin-off of these meaning they won't be exactly like these but inspired by these.  So be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel so you don't miss it!

I hope you had a fabulous Mother's Day! I did! My son sent me flowers and chocolates. He is underway with the NAVY, so we don't get to spend every holiday together, but it was nice that he had a chance to honor his ol' mom. I spent the day with my mother and prepared a slow cooked pork roast for pulled pork sandwiches and spent the day out on the front porch enjoying the beautiful Spring weather. :D  Tell me about you day!

Happy Monday! #1: Pretty Spring Greeting Card

Today I made a simple Spring card made using homemade paper flowers and stamped embossing. The paper flowers I made were made using the Sizzix Bigz Die - Tattered Florals by Tim Holtz as well as a couple of the Ranger Tim Holtz® Distress Ink Minis.

In this video, you'll see just what I think about the MISTI! The newest stamping tool on the market.
